Unfair Situations

Unfair Situations
There are a lot of unfair situations in this world. The SHSAT is a test that is very important in the selection of you high school. It is unfair, because people might have a bad day on the day of the test, or arn't at their best when they take the test. That goes for any test, and whenever you are not at your best, you fail. I feel likfe people need more chances, just because you were not at your best doesn't mean you should fail. There has to be ways to make up for tests and ways to help failing students. Also, I saw that some schools generally pick kids in their areas (Manhattan, Queens, etc.) than other areas, thus making it hard for smart kids in other areas to get in. That is not fair, because it ruins the chance of  other students from other areas to get in and isn't fair. Also, people in good high schools like Stuy have loads of homework. There should be less homework, because without any fun and only homework, people will start being depressed. The ones that manage to graduate without being depressed are only people that can last longer. Also Stuy has a large suicide rate, and it is sad that smart people are dying because of too much work and no end in sight. I experienced that before and I was depressed, although I knew it was going to be only for 2 months, but in Stuy that is 4 years. People think of people that attempt suicide "pussies"- quote from an anonymous student. The thing is they are not "pussies". I think they were just depressed and were not afraid of death, and wanted to be free. I know people who were not afraid of death, they were brave and smart and had no regrets. It is sad that people die from problems that can be solved if only people listen. I feel like the world isn't listening.
