The two blogs that I think are the best were Layla's and Carmen's. Layla focused on one topic and went with it throughout her post. Carmen's looked like it was very well written. I think that they both spent a lot of time and effort on it.
Layla's entire blog was unique and like I said she focused on one topic. When you look at her blog it doesn't look repitive. I also liked her book.
Carmen's blog was written well. There were no run on sentences or any mistakes. I liked how she talked about her book and how the sentences were organized.
I couldn't find my other group member's blog, so these two were the one that I saw.

Sunrise over Fallujah
In my book Sunrise over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers, Robin Perry nicknamed "Birdy" was enlisted in the war with Iraq. He was with the Civilian Affairs Battalion and was suspose to interact with the Iraqi people. The name for their operation/mission is Iraqi Freedom, but bombs and enemy guerillas frequently attack them.
There is a lot of connections with the real world. The war was real, but the character was not. All the facts were true and what happened in the book was what happened in the real war. For example people who tried to run away from the U.S troops were fired upon. An example of this in the book was how a child was shot down just because he was scared and was running away.
Another connection is the equipment. M16 and AK-47s were used and also the humvees and tanks. This book has some real life events in it like friendly fires and bombings.
This book has a lot of facts in it and makes you see the war in the perspective of a soldier. I liked Walter Dean Myer's books they were realistic and show you more about war than what they show on the news.
